Morning Walk

Morning Walk is a a short film by Zack Grant based on a poem about Parkinson’s disease (PD), starring Debra Magid, Zack's mother and an artist living with PD. Commissioned by Motionpoems and featuring the poetry of Joyce Sutphen, the piece is a visceral and lyrical journey – juxtaposing a euphoric morning walk with the stark realities of a condition like PD.
This film – made possible by the Center for the Art of Medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School – was broadcast on PBS.
